Hi there! I'm L.J. Tracey, but my grandkids affectionately call me Gramma Big Guy, a nod to my husband, who they refer to as Big Guy due to his stature as a former Marine (though can anyone really be a former Marine?). My husband is the best-selling author D.L. Tracey, but we all just call him Trace, a nickname he's carried since his school days.
I’m a California girl currently residing in North Carolina, where I work as a clothing and shoe designer. I’ve also returned to school to complete my Constitutional Law degree at Harvard in Cambridge, Massachusetts. My husband often teases me about being a bit of a nerd. I’m a proud grandmother to four grandchildren—three granddaughters and one grandson.
Trace suggested that I should take the time to share some stories with the grandkids. However, since they are scattered across different states, that seemed quite challenging. Instead, he encouraged me to write stories about our experiences, allowing them to connect with us despite the distance. Through these tales, they could imagine adventures and share in the fun, bridging the miles with the magic of storytelling.
